Matte-textured paintings neutralize the glossy photographic images which serve as their canvas. In a systematic method of camouflage painting that mimics the "rollering" or erasure of graffiti, billboards and people are made illegible and characterless. Through this neutrality, the Erasures images echo the vacant minimalism of these urban markings, addressing the solitude of existence and mutability of identity.
